This is a fashion blog. One part Samantha. One part Andjelina. We are two very fashion conscious bitches. Unfortunately, we're broke as hell. So this is for all those who, like us, are fashionable on a budget.

Cropped & Screwed

HOLY SHIT, GUYS.
I’m back.
Don’t hate me, please.
The fashionista life keeps me way too busy.
But I still love you. I promise.
ANYWAYYYY.
Today I’m going to teach you something fantastic.

We are going to learn how to make crop tops.
(Glorious, glorious crop tops.)

Look in your dresser.
You have 500 old t-shirts, right?
I know you do.
Every poor bitch has 500 old t-shirts.

Pick the biggest one you have, and let’s get started.
Here’s mine:
Huge grey/blue t-shirt thing.
(Excuse the selfies.)
Alrighty.
First Step:

Lay your shirt out as flat as you possibly can.
Even iron it, maybe, because it’s probably a wrinkled wad of shit right now.
Second Step:
Cut right above the hem of the shirt.
Please do it nicely because, depending on how lazy you are, this part will show.
And theennn…:

Take your straightest ruler and draw the biggest rectangle you can.
Toss the sleeve & collar bits elsewhere, you probably wont need them again for this.
(Maybe horde them for later use or something.)
______________________________________________________
“Side” Note:
My pictures are sideways for a reason, here, guys.
The sides of you shirt are now the top & bottom.
The top & bottom are now the sides.
(Oh, oh, oh, it’s magic!)
______________________________________________________

Now the Rest,
Well, that’s for you to decide, bitches.
Yah, I’m making you be creative.
Enjoy it.
Embrace it, even.

I’ll give you some tips, I suppose.

Ok, so, here’s the easiest thing to do:
Safety pins.
The numbers will depend on the size of your body & the size of the shirt,
So don’t take my numbers without checking your own!
(The “shoulders” will always be wider than the “waist.”)

OTHER OPTIONS:
  • Sew the areas outside the pins, instead of pinning.
(Looks more like a real shirt and less like pinned rectangles.)
  • Give it a hem!
(Much more like a real shirt. Much more time consuming.)
(But it looks REALLY nice, though.)
  • Punch holes and tie it.
    (The no-sew way out.)
  • Use buttons or fancy brooches or some shit.
    (Or more safety pins!)
  • Shorten it!
(Not too much, or you’ll look like a skank.)
  • Decorate it or use a tee with designs on it already.
(Really, guys. The choice is your’s with this thing)

There you go.
A custom crop, just for you<3

I’ll add a picture of mine soon. :)

Forever yours,
Samantha

OUTFITS UNDER 100!

Aw yeah. Okay, so this is my outfit for today, let’s get it started.

First picture is out main event. It’s the Hot Hands Mesh Dress from AKIRA for $69.90. I love this dress. It’s dirty, fun and cool. Also, I’m totally obsessed with AKIRA right now, they have such an affordable house line as well as carrying outside lines like Motel Rocks and UNIF. Love.

The second picture is the Leatherette Triangle Belt from Forever 21 for $8.80. It’s cheap and it goes with the shoes aha so this was an easy one.

Last picture is of the Chiara Leatherette Platform Pumps from Urbanog for $14.20. I love anything leather or faux leather for that matter, so these are a yes for me. Urbanog has the best deals on everything, especially shoes. Always check out their deal of the day, it’s fabulous.

So there it is, a totally fabulous outfit for $98.30. You’re welcome ;)

Yours Truly,
Andjelina

Alrighty well then, here we have a lovely DIY video on how to repurpose on a budget. Sorry I talk so much and can’t keep my train of thought constant. Also, I didn’t talk about how to get rid of the excess glue, you can either scrape it off with a craft knife or wash it off.

Yours Truly,
Andjelina

obligateaerobe asked: I'm sure you ladies are pretty crafty so anytime you DIY something posting a video tutorial would be awsome!!!

Yay! Okay so more DIYs in the works!

Alright so for real this time.

I need you guys to tell me what you want to see on this blog. I can’t blog for you if I don’t know what you want haha

Like for real. Send us messages. Let us know.

Currently Style Stalking : Azealia Banks

Let me start off by saying, I’m so sorry we’ve been missing for so long. I’ve been so busy with work and Sami has a very colorful life in California.

Now. Here’s a new post called Currently Style Stalking. It’s a little tribute to whomever I’m obsessing over style wise now. This week is rapper Azealia Banks.

Her style is quirky and eclectic and goofy and just ugh. I love it all. If you’re digging her style just like I am, check out the video for her banger, 212. She’s also, for all you Cali folk, performing at Coachella this year. WHICH I WOULD LIKE TO POINT OUT IS NOT FUCKING WOODSTOCK. I don’t understand why fashion bloggers are making Coachella this crazy hippy festival because it’s not.

Okay I’m done.

Yours Truly,
Andjelina

Alrighty so I decided this would be a cool thing to do from now on. Basically I’m gonna put an outfit together composed of 3 pieces and it’s gonna be less than $100 dollars. All links are included below.

Fuck yeah.

Alright so, the first picture is a shirt I’ve been in love with for a loooooong time, it’s the Dumb & Ugly shirt by Burger and Friends. It’s super lightweight, looks good on everyone and it’s an oversized tee - my favorite. It comes in either a sweater or a shirt, but I prefer the shirt. For $24 how could you not buy this?

Next picture is the Gene plaid pant/trouser by Motel Rocks. I love plaid pants, it’s the punk child in me. These look crazy comfortable and I always love what Motel is doing. Definitely fab. These bad boys are on sale right now for $24.95. 75% OFF PEOPLE. And if you use my rep code, andjeb, when you check out you get 10 percent extra off!

Last picture is shoes. I’m a shoe fucking freak. I love them. Especially crazy ones. So I pretty much died when I saw this Beverly-23 Fur Ankle Bootie by Breckelle. They’re a whopping $9.25 so I can justify these as an instant buy. They also bring out the hint of red in the plaid in the trousers. Unfortunately for others besides me, Urbanog only has these in an 8 right now. BUT. If you google it you can find other websites that carry it, for a different price I’m sure.

Well there you have it ladies, a 3 piece outfit for under $100. $58.20 to be exact. So you actually have money left over.
You should probably save it for food. Or rent.

Yours Truly,
Andjelina

WE’VE RETURNED!!! Sorry for being gone so long :c

Please ignore the spot on my face. And weird laugh. That is all.

Yours Truly,
Andjelina
