Cropped & Screwed
The fashionista life keeps me way too busy.
But I still love you. I promise.
Today I’m going to teach you something fantastic.
We are going to learn how to make crop tops.
Look in your dresser.
You have 500 old t-shirts, right?
I know you do.
Every poor bitch has 500 old t-shirts.
Pick the biggest one you have, and let’s get started.
First Step:
Lay your shirt out as flat as you possibly can.
Even iron it, maybe, because it’s probably a wrinkled wad of shit right now.
Please do it nicely because, depending on how lazy you are, this part will show.
Take your straightest ruler and draw the biggest rectangle you can.
(Maybe horde them for later use or something.)
The sides of you shirt are now the top & bottom.
The top & bottom are now the sides.
(Oh, oh, oh, it’s magic!)
Now the Rest,
Well, that’s for you to decide, bitches.
Yah, I’m making you be creative.
Enjoy it.
Embrace it, even.
I’ll give you some tips, I suppose.
Ok, so, here’s the easiest thing to do:
(The “shoulders” will always be wider than the “waist.”)
- Sew the areas outside the pins, instead of pinning.
(Looks more like a real shirt and less like pinned rectangles.) - Give it a hem!
(Much more like a real shirt. Much more time consuming.)
(But it looks REALLY nice, though.) - Punch holes and tie it.
(The no-sew way out.) - Use buttons or fancy brooches or some shit.
(Or more safety pins!) - Shorten it!
(Not too much, or you’ll look like a skank.) - Decorate it or use a tee with designs on it already.
(Really, guys. The choice is your’s with this thing)
There you go.
A custom crop, just for you<3
